Windows 10: Edge Video Downloader

I just wanted to see what everybody else was using to download videos from youtube in Edge…...I did a lot of checking into the various ways to do it but with most of them you had to download some third party app or it just had to many steps involved to actually get it accomplished and with some you couldn't even get it on your hard drive.

So I myself have been using "AceThinker" and it is the most simple and easy one I have found so far …… You don't download any app because it is a website you use and all you do is get it up along with YT and copy&paste the YT url into the website and click download and then pick your format & quality and click download again and edge puts it into your download folder in file explorer or wherever you set it up in Edge settings to put it.

If you check it out on AceThinker it's the one called "Video Downloader Online".

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

IDM is not working on Micorsoft Edge to download any video file

I suggest you to clear all browsing data and cache files from the Microsoft Edge browser and check if it helps. I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• First of all launch Microsoft Edge Browser.
• After that click on “More action” option which is visible at top right side of the browser and you will see “Settings” option.
• Under “Settings” scroll down and you will see a button “Choose what to clear” under
  “Clear browsing data” option.
• Once you click on this option you will see list of feature like

• Browsing History
• Cookies and saved website data
• Cached data and file
• Download history
• Form data
• Password.
