    Editing of winlogon.exe.mui does not work?


    Hello,

    I edited the file winlogon.exe.mui yesterday

    I have edited the values 1002 and 1005 of the string 63:1031. (This is the "Welcome" text when you login)

    When I restart, I still see Welcome, but the changes to the file are still there?

    What is the problem and how can it be solved?

    Windows 10 Home

    2004 version

    Build 19041,264

    It is possible that you .exe is not working due to corrupted system files or account. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Does this happen with a specific application or with all of your application?
    • Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

    to create a new admin account.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
