Windows 10: Email account with Sky/Yahoo

Hi. I had a message from Microsoft telling me there is a problem with my Sky/Yahoo email account. I tried to log in and it didn't recognise my username which is my email address. I have been using this account for years, and now it seems I've been locked out of my email account. I'm not a Sky customer, and can't remember why I got a Sky email address, so I don't know what to do now. I want to access a couple of weeks worth of emails...

I don't know who your intermediary is but if they do not do two step verification I would be astonished.
Sky using Yahoo certainly insist on it.....mine being ********@sky.com

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.
