Windows 10: Email attachment says I dont have permission to open

I have a brand new laptop with Windows 10. When I try to open email attachments I get the message I do not have permission!! . If I send email to my phone I can open it fine. Do I need to change a setting on my computer?? Thankyou

Hello Allan,

To attach a document file on an email, you can follow the step given below:

For Windows 10 Mobile:

• Launch to File Explorer app.
• Press and hold the file that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select Outlook Mail on the suggested applications.

For Windows Phone 8.1:

• Download and install
  Files app.
• Launch Files app.
• Tap and hold the document that you need to attach on the email, and select
  Share button.
• Select the Mail app on the suggested applications.

Opening attachments

I have Office 2013 and my email attachments are not opening either in various emails. I can see them, I can download them but when I try to open a Word document it says it cannot read it and when I try to open an Excel file it says it is corrupted. HELP!
