Windows 10: Email PDF attachments not showing up on my Windows 10 Mail platform???

I am not getting PDF attachments in my gmail accounts in Windows 10 Mail App, not Outlook, it is working fine. When I checked my email I noticed that in my phone I was getting PDF attachments that I didn't know about. It doesn't even show that the attachment is even there, no icon, no error message or any type of security message as to why the attachment is missing.


Plus I now have to check my email in 2 locations (my phone to see if I'm missing some attachments and my computer to comfortably read my email)

Everything I find on the internet about this issue is dated between 2016 and 2018 (old). Any help would be appreciated since missing PDF's from my job is a problem that I need to solve immediately.

I am using Windows 10 Mail as the platform to manage the email service I get from a local provider. No problem receiving email attachments, including PDF files, until today. It rejected the pdf attachments that came in a email. I got the email, just
not the attachments & no indication that they had been rejected...they just didn't show up. When I check my email using my android tablet, no problem the email & it's attachments are there. Ideas as to why this is happening. I haven't changed my security
program (Norton) nor any of the settings. Thanks

• With which Email account you're facing this issue?
• What is the file format of those attachments?
• Did you tried accessing the account on Web browser?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted mail app settings. As an initial troubleshooting, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if this helps.

I suggest you to Run the App Troubleshooter -This tool can automatically identify and fix some problems with the
Windows Store and check if that helps.

If the issue still persists, try the below steps.

Change the Sync Settings in the Mail App and check.

• On Search, click on “Mail” to open the Mail App.
• Click on “Settings”.
• Click on “Accounts”.
• Click on your email account from the list of accounts.
• Select the option “Email” under the section “Change mail box Sync settings”.

Windows 10 Mail App, Gmail and Pdf Attachments

Emails sent with Pdf attachments do not appear with the pdf attachment in the Windows 10 mail app. the email shows but the attachment is missing. This happens for every email picked up from gmail with the default gmail account type and also manual configuration
of a gmail account. Is this a known issue? Is there anywhere to see a list of bugs for the Mail app?
