Windows 10: emails from microsoft

Discus and support emails from microsoft in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I keep getting these emails from Microsoft account team about a closed account..     I keep getting these emails from Microsoft account team about a closed account.. I did have this account and closed it.. Microsoft was supposed to close it on 1/5, which I assume they did.. Now I get this email hundreds or times every day.. How do i stop it..


    This is the address they come from:


    Microsoft account team <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>
    Your account is closed
    Dear *** Email address is removed for privacy ***,
    Your account *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, has been closed.
    If you ever want to try again, you can create a new Microsoft account at any time. Just go to https://signup.live.com/signup to sign up.

    Hello,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    To add an email to your contacts, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:-

    1. Open Yahoo Mail, click on the Contacts icon.
    2. Now click on a contact.
    3. Click Edit Details.
    4. Add email address to the contact.
    5. Click Save.

    If you are using Mail App and want to edit contacts stored in People App, I suggest you to refer to following article under
    Edit contacts
    for steps to edit the contact and add an email.

  3. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


    I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

    Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
    We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
    Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
    I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
    It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

    Thank you for reaching us on the forum with your concern.



    As per the issue description you have two email id's and you want to change your secondary email to primary on your pc.



    I would suggest you to switch the login account to Local user account. Then switch back to Microsoft account which you want to use. You may follow the steps provided below:



    Step 1: Switch to local user account

    Follow these steps to create a “Local User account”.

    • Press “Windows key +W”.
    • Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
    • Then select “Users” from the left panel.
    • You will get an option “Switch to a Local account” right below your user account name.
    • Select “Switch to a local account” option.
    • Enter the required details.
    • Then login to the local account and check how it works.


    Step 2: Switch back to Microsoft account

    Follow these steps to create a “Microsoft account”.

    • Press “Windows key +W”.
    • Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
    • Then select “Users” from the left panel.
    • Select “Switch to Microsoft account” right below your user account name.
    • Enter the required details (Primary Email ID).
    • Restart the computer and then try to login using new Primary account.


    Hope this would help. If issue still persists post back with current status of your computer and result of proposed suggestion, we will be happy to assist you.
