    Embedded videos freezing


    Recently I installed Windows 10, upgrading from 8.1. Now videos embedded in emails freeze after playing for a few seconds. Mainly it's the ads that often precede and accompany shared videos that are freezing, but when this happens, I can't get beyond them to see the shared vid. This occurs with all browsers that I have tried, e.g., MSN, Google, IE. Suggestions?

    Edge is still crashing in Windows 10

    I'm still having issues with Edge crashing or freezing in Windows 10. I clean my cache quite regularly and I've also run the troubleshooter (it found no issues with my system).

    I have noted that it seems to have an issue on pages (like news sites) that plays video or has video ads embedded as soon as I open up the link.

    Sometime I can pause the video before it starts, but this happens only about half the time.

    Edge has improved, but it still has some issues to be worked out.

    you can download the official YouTube app from the Store, or if the videos are embedded within a page, you click on the video to start it playing.

    also ensure that you have the Portico update for Windows Phone 8 installed as well, as this fixed the hit and miss playback of embedded YouTube videos.

    Embedded videos freezing

    Similar problem here (Dell Precision 490) - Video freezes then the screen, mouse and keyboard so it's impossible to start Task Manager or restart in safe Mode. Hard boot is the only way so you can't get to see the possible faults. I tried looking at the Logs but couldn't see anything obvious. Anyone any ideas?
