We have an EMF file that consists of some black lines/dots and coloured lines. In build 10.0.18363.1440 this views fine in MS Paint. In build 10.0.18363.1500 this file has no coloured lines or any element that isn't coloured black.I can't help but think that there's some kind of regression between these two builds that has caused a regression in this rendering behaviour i.e the April 2021 update broke something.I've uploaded the EMF file to https://sahmri.blob.core.windows.net/ict/microsoft-support/lines_and_dots.emf...so you can try for yourself.

Device Not Migrated - Win 10 Build 18363

    Hello

I have a USB C to HDMI adapter that works fine on a Windows 10 Build 17763 laptop, but when I try and use it on my other laptop which is Windows 10 Build 18363 it doesn't work.

In the event log on the non working laptop it says the following:

Device USB\VID_2109&PID_0817\MSFT30 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

    Last Device Instance Id: USB\VID_0000&PID_0001\5&36a3b657&0&16

    Class Guid: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

    Location Path: ACPI(_SB_)#ACPI(PCI0)#ACPI(XHC_)#ACPI(RHUB)#ACPI(SS04)

    Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFFFFFF0032

    Present: false

    Status: 0xC0000719

I've run Windows Updates, done an uninstall and reinstall of the device, rebooted, SFC scan, updated my BIOS to latest version and none of these work.

Looking at the difference between the USBHUB3.sys file both PCs reference, the Build 17763 uses a 2018 driver whereas the 18363 uses a 2019 driver.

If I try and use Windows Troubleshooter, it says it cannot identify the problem, and if I try and search for drivers it says it has the latest version installed. I don't believe it is an issue with the 18363 laptop USB C port as I can use a different USB
Dock over USB C and it works fine. The same issue occurs on another laptop also running 18363. So I have two laptops on 18363 where the USB C adapter doesn't work, and one on 17763 where it does work.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Cannot Find Desktop App Converter Base Image Build 18363

I am running Windows 10 on the Release Preview ring, which means my build is 18363. I want to convert a desktop app using Microsoft's Desktop App Converter. However, the only build I can find that is even remotely related to my version of Windows is build
18362, which will not work. Is there anywhere I can download the base image for build 18363? Or do I need to wait until the next version of Windows is released?
