Windows 10: Emojis & Font??

looking to update windows 10 to include emoji keyboard. Also, is it possible to change font type, color, size?

How to fix emoji keyboard not showing up using shortcut

Hi,

This issue is often caused by a corrupted or missing data file. To better isolate if this is a user profile specific or an emerging issue, we suggest that you create a new user profile and try to use the same keyboard shortcut to get the emoji keyboard to
show up. Here's the link for the steps on how to:

In the meantime, we'll give you the steps for a workaround to access the emojis. Here are the steps:

• Right-click on the Taskbar.
• Select the Show touch keyboard button option and a keyboard icon will show up on your
  Taskbar.
  
• Click the keyboard icon and select the emoji button.

How do I replace Windows 10's emoji?

I finally got it... I'll give you the essential steps, but read the whole thing first and be careful.

1. Back up file- Go to: "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Fonts", find Segoe UI Emoji. Copy the file and paste it someone safe.
   
2. FULL Permission Control- We are going to change the permissions so you can uninstall/delete the font file. Right click-properties-security tab-edit. If you can just select the box for "Full Control" great, I had to click "add", type my user name, and then click the box. I can't remember, but there might have been warnings... it's okay.
   
3. If you're positive you've saved it somewhere else, click "delete" at the semi-top of the screen.
   
4. Restart your computer. At this stage the "windows emojis" were still present, but they were now one color like a regular font.
   
5. (I made several registry edits at this point due to frustration, mainly "Font Substitutions" but I don't think they were necessary.)
   
6. Have another emoji font file ready to be the replacement. (I put the new and old in the same folder so it's easier in the next steps.) If you don't have one try the Noto ↑ or just search it.
   
7. Download Font Forge here: fontforge.github.io/en-US/ and install it.
   
8. Open the program and open the new emoji font file. Save it as an .sfd file. The name doesn't matter.
   
9. Now open the Segoe file. For both now open Font Info under the third tab "Element". Copy all the Segoe info to the new font, because we're essentially tricking the system. I suggest copy and paste for 1)Fontname, 2)Family Name, & 3)Name for Humans, but if you want to free hand...
   
10. I also made some glyph changes. I shopped around on multiple fonts, and it was pretty easy to copy/paste between them for the best one. (Here's a tip, if you click into any box and hit "Tab", it takes you to the next present item.)
    
11. When you've got the final product that you like, go to Generate Fonts under File and save it as an .otf and just to be safe call it "Segoe UI Emoji". This also gave me some validation warnings, seems to be okay.
    
12. Now open this new file and Install it. If it asks if you want to replace the existing, duh. (But that might just be me since I had 50 more steps.)
    
13. Restart and that should do it.
    

*Note I did all this to specifically have monochromatic emojis, so I don't know what happens to the colors. But in my long process I reinstalled Segoe before Step 6, and I think they were back. Also the font I chose didn't have any colors or changes to begin with...

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.
