Windows 10: Enable virtualization in bios :/

Yea I'm not happy with the 32 bit 10TP deal,
I'm going to tear my machine a part and take some pictures and try and figure out what type of cables to get for a dual ssd hookup
Then if successful (cross fingers) I'll install win-8/ 8.1 on the second ssd and use hyper-v or at last result VMware or simply install win-10TP 64 bit as a dual boot on the separate ssd might make the pain a little less destructive to the 7 ssd ??????

Anyway I have some Black Friday deals to take care of,
1-ram upgrade to 8 gigs
2-new ssd with dual bracket and appropriate cables *Wink
3 Possibly a third ssd for my laptop *Tongue Optional depending on prices :/
December should be FunTime *Biggrin

On my Acer HTPC with AMD CPU, the virtualization is under Advanced Tab >>> Advanced Chipset Configuration >>> AMD-V

What CPU do you have? Run CPU-Z and it should tell you if your CPU is capable of Hardware assisted Virtualization.

Given that your BIOS looks ancient (copyright 2009?) that's at least 5 years... low-mid level CPU's didn't have VT in those days

Most modern Hypervisors require VT technology and have retired their old non-VT hypervisors...

Hi Mike,
Your MB is using an Acer modified Phoenix BIOS. On the first screen when entering BIOS, select Frequency/Voltage Control then on the next screen select CPU Feature. You should get a screen (2nd screen) as shown below:

NOTE: If you don't have this option then it means your MB/CPU does not support virtualization. If you do then that's all you need to enable for VmWare, you don't need to add Hyper-V feature using VmWare.
