Enable Win 10 to receive bluetooth files without confirmation?

I want to send files from the phone without having to touch the PC at all, have the PC automatically recognize the device as a trusted device and accept the files and save to a predetermined folder. That's how Win 7 worked, and it was beautiful.

  2. Windows 10 seems to have changed from the windows 7 model for bluetooth, but if that's how you want it to work, try WiFi direct, as it's in both Android and windows. See this link

Wi-Fi Direct: what it is and why you should care | TechRadar

Feem should do what you want with the added bonus WiFi direct is much faster than Bluetooth.

Thanks, but unfortunately my PC does not have wifi direct, that I can find. My phone does not see my PC on wifi direct and nothing resembling wifi direct can be found when searching my PC.

If I could get to that damn "Share" tab on Bluetooth settings, I'm sure it would solve this problem. Why can't I see that tab?

Wifi Direct has been supported in Windows since Windows 8.1. If you have a wifi card in your PC, then wifi direct is natively supported in the wifi API. You just need to install a program or app to take advantage of the API in Windows. Try Feem Lite. It's available in the Windows store (free). Install the app on your Windows 10 machine. If you don't like the Windows store app, there's also a desktop version at Download Feem for iOS, Android, Mac, Windows Phone, Windows RT, Windows Desktop, Mac, Linux.. Then on your Samsung S5, go into google play and install the android version of Feem Lite (also free). You should be then be able to transfer files between your phone and PC within Feem Lite

Hi. I am having the same problem.
I want to have the auto receive functioning.
Its a pain in the arse having to allow my laptop to receive files.
I want to be able to hit the send on my phone and know that the files are on the laptop.
Some times i am not right by my machine when i want to send a file, so cannot allow it to receive.
Why change something thats not broken?
What is the greyed out "Allow a device to connect" on the menu for?
Anyone had any luck using this?
    Thanks Chris

  6. Hi,

I have the exact same issue and its very annoying to accept each file (Photo) separately.
I also don't have the share tab.
    Please advise

  7. What crazy world are we living in when we can no longer easily send multiple files from a common smart phone (S5) to win10?
Way to go microsoft! Thanks for wasting yet another afternoon on what should be an easy task. I guess i'll figure out the answer one day when I have spare time to download a whole lot of third part crap to get something like this simple task to work. How many more annoying things am I going to come across with win10? There's always another surprise around the corner and it's driving me insane! Do they even consider what people might want to still be able to do before they stuff it all up with a stupid 'upgrade' things that used to work well on xp or win7 will now take you a whole day to figure out. Stupid backwards way to go in my opinion. And then you spend all day searching for no real answers. I'm sick of it!

Enable Win 10 to receive bluetooth files without confirmation?

In my case, after installing correct bluetooth driver from vendor, Share and Sync tabs are back.
My OS is Win10, so I installed Win10 version driver previously, but those tabs were missing.
Then I tried installing old Win8 version, they are back!
There is an old saying that goes, "new one is not always a good one."

Exact same situation in my case, except after the upgrade my laptop was using MS' own generic Bluetooth driver that lacks these tabs. Once I installed the proper BT chipset driver from the vendor's site (Broadcom) I no longer need to click on Receive a File each time.
