Windows 10: English keyboard even though it's not a language I downloaded

I have others languages installed but not English so I don't understand why it appears on the keyboard languages

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

  What is the keyboard default language set on your PC?
  
• 
  Since when are you facing this issue?
  

Method 1: I suggest you to
download the keyboard language from the Settings page by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type
  Settings and select the top most search result.
  
• 
  Select Time & Language from the options shown in the window.
  
• 
  Click on Region & Language from the left side panel, click on
  English language under Added language and click on
  Options.
  
• 
  Check if you have downloaded the Language Pack,
  Speech and Keyboard language from the window. Download the pending language pack and check if the issue is resolved.
  
• 
  If the issue persist, go to Region & language window, select
  English language and click on Set as Default.
  
• 
  Close the page and check if the changes are effective.
  

Method 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to manually
update the keyboard drivers from device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Keyboards option.
  
• 
  Right click on the keyboard driver and select
  Update option.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions.
  
• 
  After updating, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Microsoft no english language windows for you!

Wasn't an OEM copy though it was a promotional copy given to me for free. Anyhow don't you think it's odd that every language but English be on the list?!

I was able to download the Hebrew version just fine. Not a big deal to add the English language pack using the Nlite app. Thing is there was a time you could download these iso's from digital river but MS shut that down so now all we have are Torrents which is shady if you ask me.

 

Keyboard and speech language downloads

Hi all

I've just done a factory reset on my Lumia 930 (previously upgraded from 8.1) and have a clean install of Windows 10 Mobile - version 1511, OS Build 10.0.10586.107

I have set the Country/Region to Australia

I have set the regional format to English (Australia)

By default the phone had English (United Kingdom) as the Speech Language. I cannot add/download English (Australia) to the list. It only says "pending" or "error downloading" when I try.

I have been able to add English (United States) but don't want to use this.

I also have English - Australia keyboard installed and I'm unable to download the Text Suggestions for this keyboard. Both United Kingdom and United States keyboards had Text Suggestions when they were installed.

I have tried a phone reboot, installing and un-installing other languages etc. I have a strong internet connection (downloaded lots of aps and map updates fine).

Anybody have any idea who I can get the English (Australia) speech language and the English - Australia keyboard Text Suggestions to download?

P.S. how do it delete a Speech Language that isn't required (touch and hold doesn't produce a delete popup)?
