Windows 10: English (US) keyboard keeps adding itself

About maybe once a week this English (United States) keyboard adds itself and as I don't need it I have to delete it every time.

Is there a way to prevent it from appearing?

And if it's intended behavior, well, it's really inconvenient.

Language of Windows 10 is set to Japanese.

The first is a Google Japanese IME, second is Russian and the third is the bane of my existence.

English (UK) keeps coming back to my keyboard

I'd set Greek and Japanese as the only languages in my keyboard because Japanese has built-in English typing as well, then set Greek as my default language. After the latest update, the English (UK) language keeps popping up in my keyboard languages and
doesn't show up in the list for me to remove it. I can temporarily remove it by adding the language myself, then removing it from the list, but it shows up again the next time I start Windows.

 

Can I keep the Windows system in English but the keyboard in a different language?

Since it didn't work, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click on Start menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Select Time & language.
• Go to the Region & language tab.
• Click on English (United States).
  
• Click on Options.
• Select Add a keyboard.
• Choose Icelandic.
• Click on US.
• Select Remove.

The steps above will let you add a keyboard for Icelandic.

Once done, kindly check if you can now type using the language that you want.
