  1. Enormous amount of ram being used with absolutely nothing running

Seeing anywhere from 5GB to 12GB of ram usage with absolutely nothing running (no open programs, no taskbar programs). I have 24GB of ram total. Following along with comments from this thread, here are my RamMap and Resource Monitor Screenshots.

Let me know what else I can provide.

Something that might be related: I started looking into this issue because I'll be running Firefox and Minecraft (Modded) at the same time. Minecraft is set to take up 8gb, but seems to expand outside of that to use up almost 14. As soon as the committed pool in the Performance tab in Task Manager approaches 22GB committed, either MC or Firefox will just completely crash. I feel that 2GB left to work with is plenty, so I ran a memory test using the windows memory test tool, but found nothing. I was going to run an extended test, but I haven't had time yet. Should I run one of those?

edit: oops forgot to include build number. Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.657)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
