Windows 10: "Entered PIN too many times..."

1. Did Microsoft put the lock button above the backspace on their keyboards as a punishment for things I did in a past life?Answer: Yes, almost definitely.2. Did the Industrial Designer who worked on the button placement do it as a prank and no one at Microsoft noticed?Answer: Probably.Now, my actual problem, apart from trusting that Microsoft's Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse was the best one to buy...3. When I hit the button inevitably, it then always tells me that I have entered my PIN incorrectly too many times and I need to restart.But I haven't entered the PIN at all apart from when I turn

Entered an Incorrect PIN too Many Times

I will try waiting several days as you did. When steps are suggested they aren't understanding that there are no choice...the screen just says you have entered the wrong pin too many times....that's all. Then restart your computer. No other choices are
on the screen.

 

Can't enter PIN for Headset

I'm grateful for your replies. I obviously haven't done a good job of explaining. Here are snips of the windows involved. I have done all the steps suggested, but I can't directly enter the PIN in the larger window. That seems to be my only problem. Plantronics hasn't answered yet, but I'll hope they come through.

I understand that it is frustrating when the features don’t work the way there are supposed to. Usually, it takes time to login using the PIN after setting it up for the first time, as Windows optimizes and connects all the applications
linked to your Microsoft account to give access using the PIN.



I suggest you to try logging in again and wait for some time to let Windows optimize the PIN for next use.



However, if you want to remove the PIN you can follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Login to the PC using password, and go to
   Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
   
2. Under PIN click on
   Remove.
   
3. Enter the password and click on
   OK.
   
4. Restart the PC.
