  1. Entries cannot be deleted in the Autostart tab of the Task Manager.

I have 3 entries in the Autostart tab, that can't be deleted via the registry or the tool CCleaner.
I can deactivate them, but removal is not possible. What can I do to delete the entries?

In the screenshot you can see the 3 deactivated Deaktiviert entries which I want to delete.

These are the entries: Skype, Cortana and Windows Terminal.

In the following screenshot of the Registry you can see that there are only three entries for the Autostart.

But there are eight entries activated, as you can see on the Task Manager - Autostart tab.

Now I would expect to find all eight activated autostart programs either in the registry or in the autostart folders.

Furthermore I have executed the following commands:

    shell:startup

    shell:Common Startup

    Result: Both directories were empty.

Is there anything else I can do to solve my problem?

    :)

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

    Any suggestions?

  3. Task scheduler user account list includes user accounts that have already been deleted from the computer.

Thanks for providing the results of the troubleshooting steps we provided. Since the credentials are still showing up in task scheduler, we suggest that you follow the steps below to check the entries in the credential manager and delete the entries manually:

    • Type the words Credential Manager in Cortana or the search box.
    • From the list of results select Credential Manager
    • From this screen, you can manage Web Credentials and
      Windows Credentials
      .

Once you have the screen open verify if any of the credentials you saw in task scheduler is present and manually delete them.

    Regards.

Clean Startup entries on Task Manager

Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing well this days.

So, well. My question is, how can I delete some 'void' entries on the Startup tab on the Task Manager. Here's my screen and what I want to delete. I suspect them are two old entries from uninstalled software.
