    Epson XP-340 Printer


    I have a printer that runs out of ink very quickly. I have purchased a black ink cartridge with extra ink and want to remove access to the colours and have it print only in black. This used to be so easy years ago and now I am stuck. Any idea of how to accomplish this. I tried accessing information from my User manual but am unable to get the printer to expend temporarily to print a document.

    Windows 10 and printer -scanner Epson xp-340 Not Scanning "communication error"

    I just purchased a new Microsoft computer Windows 10. It will print to my Epson XP-340 scanner however, the XP-340 says "communication error check connection" when I attempt to scan. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers?

    Please try the steps recommended below to uninstall printer software

    Option 1: Run the Printer Troubleshooter -

    Option 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer

    A. Uninstall the Printer

    Windows Key+X > Apps and Features / Programs and Features

    Select your printer.

    Select Uninstall.

    Windows key+R, type control, hit Enter

    Open Devices and Printers.

    In the Devices and Printers window look for your Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose Delete or Remove Device

    Windows Key+R, type Cmd, hit Enter

    Type printui.exe /s > OK.

    Click on Drivers tab.

    Look for Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

    Select OK.

    Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

    Close Devices and Printers.

    B. Install the Driver

    Go to the Printer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers

    Reinstall the Printer driver

    Reboot the computer
