Windows 10: Error 0x8007000d The Data Is Invalid

After installing windows 10 Home edition, my lenovo ideapad S10-3 cant play videos. I have tried installing windows media pack version 1803 and I get an error messeage.

Error 0x8007000d

The data is invalid.

I then counter checked my Windows version and processor architecture but still the error persists.

OS build 1803 17134.35

Processor Architecture 32bit x64 based processor.

Please help. I cannot play videos using VLC or Windows Media Player.

#1 I did not "upgrade" to WIN 10 and am still on WIN 7.

While trying to change properties on some items in my music library some files just would not allow it. Harrumph!! As a last resort I clicked the "Remove Properties and Personal Information" link, and THEN I got
Error 0X8007000D

So, now what to do?
