Windows 10: error 0x800700d

Hi i am unable to install updates on windows 10 21H2 I can download the updates fine from 2016 wsus server, but get the message error 0x800700d when it trys to install?i have tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealthDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealthDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthand SFC /scannow but still unable to install updates, i have even tried getting the standalone update KB5023696 March 2023 security update and fails with the same errorThis is on a offline network, but have had no issues before with the method we use, and all 2016 and win 10 1607 update fine its

Windows 10 Update was failing with error 0x800700d

Hi,

I was unable to install the update from windows 10. It was failing with error 0x800700d.

Can anyone help me to understand the issue and solution for this issue ?

Windows 10 Installation Error 0x800700d

• Conducted upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10
• Attempted system restore, with recovery media on another PC on Windows 10, with error
• Such restore wiped all partitions on my disk, including push button reset and recovery partition, and format it to MBR from GUID
• Wiped all partitions on disk and reformat to GUID Table
• Attempted clean install of Windows 10 with installation media on USB formatted as NTFS, created with MDT on 07.07.2016, and therefore latest version of Windows 10
• Error code showed up after Language Selection dialog
• No "C:\Sources\install.esd" found, code is 0x800700d
• Checked file with cmd from installation media, no file found
• Unplugged media and checked with another PC, file is there

What have I done wrong here and how to fix?

 

windows10 upgrade gives a code 0x800700d. what is that?

why am i getting an error code of 0x800700d when windows10 finishes installing?
