Windows 10: Error 0x8007042B When installing Win10 Upgrade

Hello,


Windows 10 gets a roll back on the install with the Error 0x8007042B with the Windows 10 SAFE_OS MIGRATE_DATA error message.


I'm unable to disable the on-board graphics in the bios and no driver is installed for the on-board Radeon, since I installed a standalone Geforce GT 710. Although when I tried to install Win10 using the media creation tool upgrade within Windows a warning appeared that the Geforce wasn't compatible with win10 It is compatible and the same card is installed in a number of other machines including two I did this morning! Anyway the error logs are at the link below if anyone is able to take a look and see where the install might be failing and I can hopefully get this PC on to Win 10 without having to resort to a full wipe as there's a lot of user data, apps etc installed.

Win10 Upgrade Failed 0x8007042B - 0x2000D

Hey, i have an issue with win10 upgrade from win7. i try several time to processed the upgrade with the same result:

We couldn't install Windows 10
We've set your PC back to the way it was right before you started installing Windows 10.
0x8007042B - 0x2000D
The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation

i tried perform sfc /scannow (without issue) , have 30G free space, disable non-Microsoft services/ check for windows upgrade, remove antivirus, Drivers update. without success.

0x8007042B-0x2000D windows 10 problem
except you can skip (2) as I assume you have a 1909 iso and bootable installation disk.
There will be one or two steps you've already performed- simply give the result where this is so.

There a user called @zbook who frequently handles upgrade failures presents a request for relevant data.

Please state the amount of free space on C: and post a screenshot of your partitions using a 3rd party partition manager- not Disk Management, making sure all text is visible.

Please also, as a matter of routine, run these checks:
Disk: HDTune (free) - Health and Error scan tabs and post the result.

From an admin command prompt run
chdsk C: /scan
and post the summary result.

 

error 0x8007042b when adding a Yahoo Mail account to MS Mail App

I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

@Bastet, this is probably what you were referring to the whole time.


YAHOO MAIL FIX
2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.




2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box




3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.




4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.




Fully functional mail app again.



GMAIL FIX

Now similar steps to setting up Gmail. Here I'll only go through the Gmail steps as Windows Mail App setup is the exact same.
