Windows 10: Error: 0x80072746. Windows Sandbox fails to restart to complete the installation of an...

The connection to the sandbox was lost.

Error 0x80072746. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

That is the error I get every time I attempt to install an application in the sandbox that requires to restart windows 10 (Windows key>Restart).

I wonder how to fix it, please?

Today I updated laptop to Windows 10 1903. I am running Windows 10 Home.

Using this tenforum link tutorial I enabled Windows Sandbox on my Windows 10 Home but its failing to start.
Enable Windows Sandbox Feature in Windows 10 Home Edition

I am getting an error: The connection to sandbox was lost.

Can't open Windows Sandbox Error 0x80070002


Microsoft has acknowledged this issue now:

Windows Sandbox may fail to start with error code “0x80070002”Windows Sandbox may fail to start with "ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (0x80070002)" on devices in which the operating system language is changed during the update process when installing Windows 10, version 1903.


Affected platforms:

• Client: Windows 10, version 1903

Next steps: We are working on a resolution and estimate a solution will be available in late June.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
