Windows 10: Error 0x80073701 while updating window

I have been continuously trying to update my window but each time I get this prompt. How should I proceed?

Looks like the two key things are the error number 0x80073701
and ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING

Have you also checked absolute basics:
- check your disk (e.g. HDTune v2.55 free Health and Error Scan tabs
- if ok, run
chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command or Powershell prompt

cant update windows 10 due to Error 0x80073701, cant seem to fix it my self. any suggestions beyond running the 2 administrator files recommended by Microsoft that did nothing?
