Windows 10: Error 0x800f081e while trying to update to windows 1803

Hello,

While i was trying to update my windows 10 N 64bit to 1803 version,I had this error 0x800f081e.

What can i do?

Apps & Features
Manage Optional features



Find WMP, click on it, and select uninstall from the dropdown.


To reinstall later(if you so wish:
While in Manage Optional features, select add feature




Find WMP and install it

Nope - no joy. Same failure with page file set to 3 -> 5 GB. After restoring 1709 I checked page file size - it is 2.93 GB.

Fortunately 1709 runs solid as a rock for me. So unless something new or interesting comes up I'll probably wait a few months and try again then.

 

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 error 0x800f081e

Hello,

I have Windows 10 N x64 and am trying to install feature update 1803, however I get 0x800f081e error.

Quick Search has revealed the issue is related media feature pack. I have tried to disable it, but update still doesn't go though.

How do I fix this issue?

Why does this happen every feature update?

Why can't you get it right at least once?

If you don't support N version, then at least let me exchange my license key for a normal one. Why do I have to waste several days just to install your broken update?
