Windows 10: Error 0x80190001 in MS Mail cannot start up existing e-mail accounts

Every time I try to open one of my Outlook accounts in Microsoft Mail v 16005.13426.20920.0 using Manage Accounts I get the same error messageSomething went wrongPlease try again later0x80190001I'm using Windows 10 Home Version 20H2 on a brand new Dell InspironHas anyone managed tp overcome the same issue or can offer an answer please on how to resolve this?

I went this route and added passwords for yahoo mail. I might try this method above to get gmail to buck up! *Tongue

YAHOO MAIL FIX
2FA needs to be enabled which it already was and just follow these steps below.

1. In yahoo mails account security, click on manage app passwords.




2. After selecting other app and entering the new app name in the text box




3. Now, in Windows 10 mail app, add this type of account.




4. In Windows 10 mail app, enter your details and the password generated by step 2.




Fully functional mail app again.



GMAIL FIX

Now similar steps to setting up Gmail. Here I'll only go through the Gmail steps as Windows Mail App setup is the exact same.

Yes, once 2-factor authentication is enabled you should then create the app specific password & enter it instead of the account password.

 

Windows 10 Mail app deleted all my e-mail accounts

The Windows Mail App (The e-mail client that comes with Windows 10) is where I had all my e-mail accounts setup so I just had one place to check them. All of the e-mail accounts that I had added to the client are now gone. When I open the app instead of seeing a list of my e-mail accounts I see the app as it was when I first started to use it.




My e-mail accounts should be listed in the left hand column under Accounts.
