    Hi there, guys.

    So, I did a bit of research to find out that Microsoft suggests that Error 10016 is harmless and won't affect anything. Big mistake though. Any browser will crash multiple times 10x in a minute if you try reopening while the error is happening on that time interval.

    Firefox is slightly more resistant, but will crash. Edge won't even open. Chrome will last between those two.

    Found out that the problem involves the following APPID/CLSIDs:

    APPID
    {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

    CLSID
    {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}

    Which should be easy to fix, since I could quickly find those and give'em access/full control on the Registry Editor...that is, just until I found out that Component Services doesn't show either.

    If anyone could shed some light, I'd appreciate. I'm VERY upset with this error. To say the least.

    Thanks in advance to any hints, tips, leading to the problem solution.

    :)

    DCOM error 10016

    Well, I am bumfuzzled! I went in to my Event Viewer to take a look before applying the process referenced by Qwinn to fix the 10016 Dcom errors. There were no new ones, so I rebooted several times and still no 10016 Dcom errors! I don't know why, but I'm glad they are gone. Thanks to Qwinn and I will save your reference for future use, if needed.

    DCOM error 10016 on shutdown

    I had been getting the DCOM error 10016 on shutdown immediately followed by 4 SCM 7031 errors for quite some time until the MS August 10 updates were installed. I am still getting the SCM 7031 errors but the DCOM 10016 errors have stopped. Has anyone
    else had this experience? I am running Win 10 Version 1511 on a desktop.

    DCOM error 10016 on shutdown

    Is this procedure supposed to resolve the DCOM 10016 errors or the Service Control Manager 7031 errors? The recent MS updates have apparently solved the DCOM 10016 errors I was getting for "Runtime Broker." Now they only happen for Cortana.

    It is actually the SCM 7031 errors that I would like to eliminate now.
