    hello Java install error is : installer: wrapper. createfile failed with error 123: the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

    Unable to launch Lotus 123 after Windows Updates

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that you are unable to run Lotus 123 applications on your computer after Windows updates, we will look into this for you. However, in order to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the following details



    • What happens when you try to launch Lotus 123?
    • Do you read any error message/code? If yes, what is the error message/code?
    • Which update was installed on the computer? To check navigate to
      Start >> Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows update >> View update history.
    • Which version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer currently? To check type
      winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.


    Since Lotus 123 is an old and discontinued application, it could be that after the latest Windows Updates the program might not be compatible with Windows 10.



    You can try running the program in compatibility mode and check if that helps. Please refer the steps in the article

    Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows     to run the program in compatibility mode.

    Help with Lotus Smartsuite 9.8 freezing with Lotus 123

    I have Lotus 123 installed on both my desktop and laptop, and they were working fine until last week. All of a sudden, the program will open and freeze on my laptop. Running Win 10 with all updates installed. I have tried clean boot to no avail, but I can get the program to run in safe mode or with another user account, so I think there is an issue with my user profile.

    Any suggestions...btw, I have used 123 for 25+ years without issue, and I have hundreds of 123 files...
