Windows 10: Error 1935.Error installing VC++ redistributable. HRESULT: 0x800736B3

So I am trying to install ITunes for Windowsand I get an error.

An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736B3.


Based on some suggestions, I tried downloading VC++ 2005 redistributable from Microsoft and now when I install the x64 version, I get the following error.

Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64"'. Installing the VC++2005 x86 version I get the following.

I have spent about two days trying to troubleshoot this. Trying to stop services, restart, clean cache, clean boot but have not been able to figure out a solution.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Hi by any chance did you upgrade from Windows 7?

suggest you do some research any ways.

Error 1935

I received an error 1935 when tried to reinstall Nuance Paperport 14. This software had been installed on my PC before I upgraded the system to Windows 10.

So when I run Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, it fails and I receive a message:

Error 1935: An error occurred during the installation of assembly.

'Microsoft VC.80.CRT,type="win32",version=8.0.50727.4053",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64".

I tried to turn off my antivirus and firewall with no success. Also I didn’t find any corrupted files. How to fix it?

 

Can't install VC++ 2008 SP1 x64 Redistributable on Windows 10

I'm trying to install the VC++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable on my new Windows 10 Pro laptop. When I try to do this, I receive the following error message:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.ATL,version="9.0.30729.1", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture="amd64", type="win32". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:
0x800700C1.

I've googled this quite a bit, but can't find this exact message for this particular situation.

I've tried the following, based on what I could find online:

• Ran installer as Administrator
• Ran .NET verification tool (it re-registered and restarted the installation service and also sent some log files to Microsoft)
• Renamed C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18 folder to S-1-5-18_old

None of these things helped. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
