Windows 10: Error code: 0x80048802 - unable to send email from Windows 10 Mail app

I'm getting the following error after months of everything working properly and no recent changes/additions to my system:


"We're not able to send messages at the moment. Try again later.

Error code: 0x80048802"


All of my sent emails go to the Outbox folder where they stay until I manually delete them. I saw another thread with this same problem. The thread was locked, so no further comments allowed, but the issue was never resolved. My mail server is a private one with the address: mail.gravitasmd.com. No recent changes have been made to the mail server.


Hoping for some actual help on this and not the runaround that the other user endured.

Error code 0x80048802

Having same error code 0x80048802 when sending new emails or replying to email via MAIL. Account is telus.net webmail account.

Problem started mid-Oct after using Mail with no issues since Windows 10 upload in July.

I am still unable to send emails from the email account supplied me by my ISP. I am now getting the error code 0x80048802. Can you please advise how to resolve this error code. Thank you.

After searching a solution to the problem of Windows Mail not syncing my outgoing mail, first with error code 0x8007274c and then 0x80048802, I came across this suggestion to deselect "require SSL for outgoing email." I did that and my test email was
sent and the recipient confirmed receiving it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
