Windows 10: Error Code: 0x80070005 is stopping me from downloading games from the Microsoft Store and...

Recently I've had this problem where PC games that are from the Ultimate Game Pass aren't being downloaded/installed properly and stops with an error at any percentage, e.g when the game is 90% or even 100% complete.


As far as I know I was able to download Microsoft Store games before I switched where my Apps were downloaded from my smaller C drive to my D drive.


Is there any way to solve the 0x80070005 and allow me to fully finish the downloads for these games to my D drive, as I have over 1TB left on it and my C drive will be full in minutes if I download Apps to there.


I have Windows 10 Pro.

Error 0x80070005 when trying to download anything from Microsoft Store

Hello, yesterday I attempted to download Sea of Thieves via Game Pass Ultimate from the Microsoft Store.

However, the download would give an error, code 0x80070005, after a few seconds following the "acquiring license" stage of the download.

I've retried downloading the game multiple times, attempted to download other apps like Xbox Beta, and have searched for a solution online for several hours, but nothing that others have suggested so far seems to work.

In fact, I even tried to download Xbox Beta from the Xbox website, but I was given error 0x80070005.

How can I fix this error?

Trying to download windows 10 to a media device (USB) for installation on another PC and keep getting this error. Am wondering if I should be following the steps suggested for error code: 0x80070005-0xA0019 ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
