Windows 10: Error code 0x80070032 when creating Backup to an External drive

I get the above referenced error code when trying to set up a backup to an external hard drive. Specifically, I am trying to back up files on a server from my desktop.

I have the same problem. Windows 10, 3TB external hard drive, formatted correctly, but the backup refuses to add folders I select for backup. I get the error code 0x80070032
Sorry for the size, I copy and pasted it. Nothing suggested above changes my computer's resolve to NOT allow the folders I select to be backed up using the backup.

I'm trying to back up my computer on an external hard drive.

The 2TB hard drive has been partitioned for Mac and PC (1 TB each).

My C:/ drive has no issues being backed up, though when I try to add an additional folder (from a separate hard drive), I repeatedly get the error code 0x80070032.

• There is plenty of space on the external hard drive
• I've ensured Events Log, Task Manager, and Backup are all running.
• I've turned off all anti-virus software.
• I've turned off all firewalls
• I've tried a clean boot
• I've checked my drive for all errors

Any ideas?

 

Backup Network Drive to External Hard Drive

Hello There,

I'm trying to backup a couple of network drives to my external storage, but I'm unable to do so as I'm getting the error 0x80070032 while I'm adding a drive to backup.

Please help.
