    Error code 0x80070057 Sound windows 10


    I have a fresh install of windows 10 on my PC. I had some issues with the previous windows version needing to be repaired and had so much trouble, that I just wiped the harddrive, made a new partition and then reinstalled windows 10. I have no sound what so ever, and when I run the audio troubleshooter, all I get is error code 0x80070057. Package ID and path is unknown. Source is engine. Context restricted. I dont know what any of that means, and I've tried almost everything I can google.


    I can actually get sound to output through speakers through a USB but not through the headphone jacks. I'm fairly certain it's not the jack itself as the audio troubleshooter is also messing up.


    Help.


    I have this exact problem and nobody ever gave this person the solution. Anybody know what's up?

    Update to Anniversary Windows 10 from Windows 10 and Error Code 0x80070057

    Receiving error code 0x80070057 while trying to update to Anniversary Update while using Windows 10 Home Edition. I have tried all the steps on this webpage (FIX: Windows 10 Anniversary Update: Error 0x80070057) without it working.
