    I had a problem with my external HD WD 1TB which makes it disconnect from my tv intermittently so i format it using windows but not a quick format. It took a long time to do this and after finishing the format i tried to copy my media files back i got this
    Error code 0X800701E3 ??

    What can i do to get this problem fixed not to mention that i am not a Professional pc user, so please guide me step by step into the solution Error code 0x800701e3 - is there a download fix? :)

    The error code, 0x800701E3, may occur if the hard drive is failing. For us to assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Which version and OS build number of Windows 10 is currently installed? To check, press the Windows key, type winver, and press the Enter key.
    • Do you have a third-party security software installed?
    • Can you try to connect the hard drive to a different computer and check if it happens there?

    Since the drive was originally bought 2 to 4 months ago, I would suggest that you contact the store where you purchased the drive so you can request for a replacement.

    Hi Baha,

    According to my knowledge, Error code 0X800701E3 is a fatal device hardware error. Meaning, your hard drive has some physical damages or corruption. What can we recommend is contacting
    Western Digital, they are the one who could help you with this issue.
