Windows 10: error code 0x80072F8F-0x20000.

good day. trying to install recently purchased windows 10 on my pc thats currently on widows 7. i cannot run the mediacreationtool. getting error code 0x80072F8F-0x20000. thanks in advance

Your problem may be caused by many reasons. You can try the following steps first.

1. Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and delete all files in that folder.
2. Press Windows + X key on the keyboard.

3. Go to Command Prompt as admin

4. Type this command "wuauclt.exe /updatenow"

5. Press Enter

error code 0x80072f8f - 0x20000

I tried every possible fix and nothing has worked until I came across this fix tonight below. It gives step by step instructions to update the TLS protocols. I spent hours and considered buying a new computer. Hopefully, its what works for you. I made sure my windows 7 was up to date before I made the registry file in the link below.
