Windows 10: Error code 0xC0000005 when installing Windows 10 v1809 october update

I was trying to do a clean install of the new major version after the upgrade went a little south (problems with the store apps crashing on open and such) and I got this error with the freshly downloaded media on a bootable USB. The answer posted for the same question concerning update v1709 didn't work for me, but Reset this PC did. However I'm curious now, could the failure be caused by Device Guard being previously enabled on the system? I did a diskpart clean on the system beforehand with no success, so it occurred to me it could have been the underlying Hypervisor protected code isolation that prevented some critical file or memory access for the installer at the UEFI level...

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
