Windows 10: Error code: 0xC004C003 and 0x803fa067

The problem: Can't activate windows 10


History:

I bought a used custom PC. It had a clean drive with Windows 10 pro on it. Since then I have replaced many components. Today I replaced the motherboard on it. After my first boot with the new Mobo, Windows is now not activated. I figured no problem, I have the product key, so I can just re activate it. Nope. Apparently it is not a valid key. I knew that this wasn't it because it was just working yesterday on this key. After more research, I have determined that this key was originally for Windows 8, but was then upgraded to windows 10.


So where am I now?

I am running a non-activated copy of Windows 10, with a Windows 8 product key and I am trying to continue running windows 10.

I have no clue where to go from here. Calling windows support doesn't help.


Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 when it was offered for free a while ago. I installed some new hardware(motherboard and cpu) and now I'm getting asked to active Windows 10. It says error code 0xC004C003 and 0x803fa067 on the activation screen in
settings.

hi im getting activation error Error code: 0xC004C003 on my laptop i bought the laptop brand new from argos last year then did windows update and upgraded to windows 8.1 from 8 i have done the upgrade to windows 10 option but im unable to activate Error code: 0xC004C003 windows when i click go to store it wants me to pay £99 can anyone help
