    Error Code: 0xC004F012


    1) Original unaltered Dell laptop with OEM Window 7 Pro - originally and fully licensed Office Pro

    2) Upgraded to Window 10 Pro some time ago - 1.5 years approx. - start of a lot of problems...

    3) Problems get that bad that last night I eventually did a system reset which I believe reinstalls Windows 10 Pro

    4) Now I have an unactivated device on my desk that is nothing more than a paperweight!

    5) Error Code: 0xC004F012 and when using Troubleshoot -> I get the most idiotic message:-


    WE FOUND A WINDOWS 10 PRO DIGITAL LICENSE FOR THIS DEVICE RUNNING WINDOWS 10 PRO. TO ACTIVATE USING THIS DIGITAL LICENSE, YOU NEED TO INSTALL WINDOWS 10 PRO.


    Well, derrrrrrrrr..........


    I work for Microsoft for at least 5-10 hours per week trying to overcome stupidity similar to this in my office. I just want to give someone else a turn...

    Follow the steps to check if the operating system is activated:
