Windows 10: Error code 0xC004F050

So I recently purchased a digital copy of Windows 10 Home to replace a non-genuine copy of Windows 10. After reinstalling over it, everything was normal but I was never asked to enter the product key I was sent via email. However upon getting to the desktop I am informed by a small message in the bottom right corner of my screen that I still need to activate Windows. So I copied (As in Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V) the key from the email I was sent into the product key bar only to the response that "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0xC004F050)"

Any automated help I tried simply turned me to suggesting I entered it wrong, which is improbable as I literally copied it from the email using the copy function, or to purchase another copy which I would prefer to avoid due to the fact that a copy is close to $300. Plus the possibility that that key wouldn't work either isn't worth the cost. I would just ignore the message except it goes over top any and all applications I use and in many cases (Such as when I am playing games) it covers possibly vital information.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
