Windows 10: Error Code 8004E00F - November 2018

I am experiencing Error Code 8004E00F - Com+ was unable to talk to the Microsoft Distribution Coordinator.


This is preventing me from installing Martin M-PC or Obsidian Onyx (same program different names) . It throws a VB Script error 1720.


This is happening on 2 of my systems.


System 1 -

Gigabyte Designare X399

32 GB RAM

NVIDIA 1080ti

etc

Windows 10 Pro for Workstations


System 2 -

HP Envy X360 15 inch Ryzen 2700U Stock except for OS replacement to Win 10 Pro



It does not happen on a Dell Precision M6700


Since it's not Lenovo, the Smart Standby is not an Issue.


Despite Dolby being in the start menu, the service is not installed on either machine.


I have tried setting up Realtek Audio to delayed start. Problem still occurs.


I do have a few 10016 errors in my event viewer, of which the only one with a name is Windows Security Center and various subservices. No errors are present in the event viewer with regards to 8004E00F.


Clearly something Microsoft is messing my AMD systems up. Other than being AMD, the only other commonality is Realtek High Definition Audio.


BUT - since a Lenovo software app is also causing this problem, I am hesitant to put the blame on Realtek.


Has anybody got a real solution that actually solves this problem? I need to get this software installed.

Error code 8004E00F - COM+ was unable to talk to the MDTC

I've just installed Windows 10 Pro on a new machine using the Media Creation Tool. All installed OK and no issues. Once Ive applied the latest Windows updates I am no longer able to access COM+ Applications in Component Services - Error code 8004E00F - COM+
was unable to talk to the MDTC. DTC service is running as Network Service.

This was working fine prior to installing the updates:

Any ideas??

 

BIOS error codes

So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001


Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
