Windows 10: Error code 80240438 downloading from Microsoft Store

So here we are back at this again. I have tried all of the solutions on the the forum including:


Disabling firewall

Disabling antivirus

Disabling firewall and antivirus

Disabling IPV6 on the network connection and restarting the computer

Running the Windows store troubleshooting and having it "fix" windows store.

running various programs from the command line to "fix" windows store.


No luck. Any new ideas?

Microsoft Store not working error Code: 0x80131500

I had tried all except re registering MSoft Store , but that unfortunately did not work .

Very intermittently use SurfEasy VPN, but last time used pre dated this build & problem by some time.

Have built pc systems /rebuilt windows op system literally100's times over 25 years for myself and others, and troubleshooted most known problems but this looks like a reinstall.
Not listed in Microsoft web notice as ongoing issue involving current build.

Only had Store problem once before since it was introduced years ago, and that was easily resolved !

my windows defender is not updating .it is showing some error has occurred with code 0*80240438

please help me to resolve this issue

To download a game without this error, we suggest that you try resetting the Windows store with the following steps:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Type, WSReset.exe, then hit enter.

Update us on the result.
