    When I am capturing ffu image of a MOXA MC1121(windows10), an error 50 occurred as the photo below.

    DISM FFU Error 1009

    i am trying to Create an image to add to SCCM. (first time ever, new to this in SCCM)

    Built winpe USB 3.0 (16gb) with 1809 ADK and 1809 WINPEADK.

    i have a fresh 1809 build.(Dell optiplex 5060. i7 8th gen) never connected to Internet or domain.

    installed the applications i wanted. (offline) no encryption on the disk.

    ran sysprep

    Booted into WINPE try to run this command:

    dism /capture-ffu /imagefile=e:\Win10.ffu /capturedrive=\\.\PhysicalDrive0 /name:Win10 /description:”Win1 1809 ffu”

    and it starts and immediately fails and gives me this error : 1009 ' the configuration registry database is corrupt."di

    *usb im trying to write to is 64GB 3.0

    Thank you for the detailed suggestions. I tried your recommendations and still no go, here's my status:

    1) chkdsk c: /f
    was run and upon laptop restart I do get the message to skip chkdsk by pressing F8 within 8 seconds if desired. I don't skip. When I check the event viewer logs, I do not have any entries that say 'wininit' and other messages don't mention chkdsk in it either. Not sure what could be wrong.

    2) in-place upgrade
    I did retrieve version 1511 x64 English iso and followed the process. The process goes for a while and eventually I get a popup message that tells me it failed. I'm not sure what to look for except here is the dism snipet immediately after the failed attempt.

    Error - DISM FFU Provider: CDiskReader::GetBlockAllocationBitmap#136 failed with 0x80070032.

    DISM fails with 0x80070020 when trying to flash Windows 10 IoT to an SD card

    I'm trying to flash Windows 10 IoT Core to an SD card through the IoT dashboard, and not having much success. The image downloads correctly, and the installer unpacks, but once the flashing begins DISM gives me the cryptic error Failed to create a new block flasher object., accompanied with the error code 0x80070020. This appears to normally indicate that the files are already in use, which confuses me given that there are no files present on the SD. Removing and replacing the card has made no difference so far.

    Does anyone have any ideas as to how this can be resolved?

    EDIT: Jeremiah Johnson on MSDN suggested that I update my computer to the same version of Windows as the one I'm trying to flash to the card, which I did, and I now get a slightly different error:
