    Error installing SQL Server 2012 SP4


    I am trying to install a new instance of SQL Server 2012 SP4 on a windows server 2008 R2 standard edition SP1 already running a SQL server 2012 but during installing setup files I get this error

    Clicking OK i get this


    Error installing SQL Server 2012 SP4 9e349d57-6bff-4b50-8e96-e0b35a802b58?upload=true.png


    I tried searching for solutions but can't seem to find any.


    Have anyone seen this error before and have a fix for it

    SQL 2012 SP4

    Can anyone tell me if TLS 1.2 is supported on SQL 2012 SP4. I've looked at the link below, so please don't copy it in an answer, and it is not listed. I need confirmation from someone at Microsoft that an update was, or wasn't, created for TLS 1.2 support.
    I really don't want to have to roll back my SQL version to SP3.

    Currently we have SQL Server 2017 Volume licencing.

    I understand that you want to use SQL Server 2000 SP4 in Windows 10.



    I see that SQL Server 2000 SP4 was initially released for legacy version of Windows i.e. Windows 2000 and XP. Since it was released for an older version of Windows, you might not be able to use it on Windows 10. However, you may still go ahead and
    try installing it in compatibility mode and check. Refer the steps mentioned in the article

    Make older apps or programs compatible with Windows 10    .



    If you face issues, you can try the new version of SQL Server available as per your requirements. Refer the link:
