this has been going on with win 10 since 2015! how many more computers does ms want to ruin before they fix this issue. it happens when I try to open a browser, it happens when I try to shut down, it happens when I run task manager, when I try to close a browser. there have been so many complaints about this, you think the boys and girls would have fixed it by now. ALL THE SOLUTIONS HERE ARE FROM 2015 OR 4-5 UPDATES AGO AND DONT WORK ----PERIOD. WHATS UP AND WHY SHOULD ANYONE PAY ALMOST 200 DOLLARS FOR A PIECE OF JUNK SOFTWARE THAT IS NOT GUARANTEED, IF IT WAS THE AUTO INDUSTRY--YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SUED OUT OF BUSINESS 30 YRS AGO. I SEE YOU HAVE A FRAUD WARNING AT THE TOP OF THIS POST, YES BEWARE OF MICROSOFT---THEY DONT CARE BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE TO.


MAKE A FIX SPEND THE TIME AND MONEY. QUIT WITH THE CORPORATE SOCIOPATHY.

That is usually (but not always) a transient error. Sometimes you may also see an accompanying errorcode (0x8007139f).



If you reboot the computer that should fix it though some users report a manual update of Windows Defender may also be needed
