Windows 10: Error message when previewing a report in Sage accounting

We have been getting two different error messages whenever we preview a report or an invoice from the Sage50 accounting package. The error messages are:

1st error message

Could not load the file or assembly.

file:///C:\users\Ashraff\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\PR2K7VEB.HO4\QDSGDTVB.PNL\stan....tion_d848fd452f4cbac4_0014.0014_4778c6d1b51aedfb\Sage.Reporting.Engine.resources.dllor one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.



2nd error message

The report could not be generated.

Could not load the file or assembly.

“Sage.Reporting.Engine.resources.Version=4.0.0.0.Culture=en-US

Public Key Token=0a4a2ad97614f98d” or one of itsdependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.


sometimes refreshing the screen enables us to preview but most of the time we have to log out of the sage program and log in again and this too helps for the first few previews and after that, it would start to generate the error messages again.


Sage helped us by uninstalling and reinstalling the program couple of times but the issue still persists. and they finally concluded this is to do some issues with windows and to contact Microsoft.


Would appreciate any advice that can sort out this problem.

• What is the make and the model number of the computer?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 are you using?
  
• Which version of Microsoft Office is installed on the computer?
  
• Which Sage Account are you using?
  
• Are you getting any error code or error message, while trying to perform an update?
  
• Is your system connected to domain?

I would suggest you to check the Sage article:

System requirements for Sage Accounts
and check if the system is meeting the requirements or not.

v25 and try the suggestions.

After installing windows 10 1903 Sage Report Designer fails to start

After installing windows 10 1903 Sage Report Designer fails to start. Yesterday there was no problem before the update.

Seems to be a rights issue:

DOESN'T WORK:

• logged in to Win 10 under my own account (with administrator rights)
• logged in to Win 10 under my own account and run Sage as an administrator

DOES WORK:

• logged in to Win 10 using the administrator account (that I had to activate)

Is this a known issue for 1903? Will it be fixed?

 

Sage 50 Installation Error

I have a new Windows 10 PC and I am downloading sage 50 accounts and have the following error message:

Microsoft .NET 3.5 windows Feature returned code 0x80071A91

Sage have informed us this is a common problem and suggested we contact microsoft.

I have searched and followed several links but non have resolved problem.
