Windows 10: Error message when trying to open programs...The instruction at ........ referenced memory...

Recently trying to open Word or many other programs results in the error message shown in title. I spent a lot of time searching the web including this site lookin for a solution. I've had no success. Just prior to this problem I've been dealing with an email problem. For reasons I won't go into now, I've been using Mozilla Thunderbird which has worked fine. Recently that has developed a problem where it will not open any attachment in a new email nor will it allow you to put an attachment into a new mail being created. It pops up a message saying Thunderbird has crashed... restart or close? Restart just puts you into the same loop.

I'm mainly concerned with my first problem resolution now.

I have Windows 10 and 12 Gig of RAM

I've tried the file scan which told me there are some corrupted files which were not able to be restored and there was further information on trying to repair by going to windir/logs/cbs/cbs.log or for offline repairs see /offlogfile flag ps C:windows/system32

I don't understand any of that.

Also have done a Microsoft memory diagnostic with no problem. All drivers are apparently up to date as well.


What help can you offer... sorry I'm really "in the dark" and not explaining the best but do hope you can give me some assistance.

More often than not I get this error message on close down. It is an explorer error.

The instruction at 0x00007ffdf7006E39 referenced memory at 0x0007FFDCB44b38. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate program

Could this be linked with the 'Send to' on a file does not have a full list of items, only showing AVS Mobile uploader and Bluetooth device?

Help required before I go ahead and try a Windows 10 repair.

This weekend I was happily playing Blizzard's new game, Overwatch, with zero problems. I returned from work last night and tried to load up BattleNet and received the below error message:





I now can't load BattleNet to play any games, which is rather frustrating. I'm baffled as to what could have happened to create this error?

Does anyone know how to fix it?
