Windows 10: Error messages while posting videos on Facebook

I believe you will now be prompted when you log in and you will get emails telling you the activity has occurred.

You could try pushing the matter. Log out of Facebook. Then log back in. I think this should kick the notify and trust procedures into action. It may not as your cookies will still be on machine.

 

Yesterday when I changed my security settings I was asked for my password and this AM I was able to post 6 videos in a row w/no error messages...going to mark this one as "Solved," Thanks so much for hanging in to the bitter end, Ken and, believe me I'll be back. Thanks again.

 

They're back, Ken. After everything worked perfectly yesterday when I changed my privacy settings and had to enter my password. Yesterday when I was finished I logged out of Facebook and this AM I entered it to gain access. Still after about the 4th video it happened again...can't figure this one out. I'd already marked this thread as solved, but guess I was wrong. I replied to the "contact us if etc...." and also clicked on the ? and explained again. Facebook hasn't been any help and I can't fine a single friend who has encountered this issue. Do you have ANY further suggestions? Thanks, as always.

 

Are you running any kind of "Cleaning" products, either through Window's installed programs, Disk Cleanup, or CC Cleaner, Norton Utilities, etc?

I ask as I'm wondering if you are sweeping away "credentials", and I use that term loosely. (Cookies, History, time logged in.)

I think in one of your previous post that you share computer with your wife. I'm out on a plank here but I also think you said you use the same Windows log in.

If either situations are the case, stop the cleaning and maybe considered getting your own Windows id, even if just for a week and see if staying logged into Facebook builds your reputation.

 

I have used CCleaner before, but before we go any farther, everything is working perfectly today. Yesterday I logged off and then this AM logged back on and was able to post 6 videos in a row. Of course, that doesn't mean it won't happen again. RE the question about my wife and I, I was talking about my desktop where we have 2 user accounts and we each have different passwords. I do 99% of my browsing on this laptop. If you don't mind please let me know what I should be using for disk cleaning if I should not be using CCleaner. Also I'll try staying logged in to FB. CC Cleaner is a good product.

I guess where I was going was for lack of better word "Reputation". I'm thinking maybe Facebook has algorithms that look at your machine and say, yea its you coming from an established device. Then CC Cleaner, or any other cleaning type product, runs and scrubs away history, cookies or what ever Facebook is keying in on. You log in and it says okay its you but I'm (Facebook) not sure.

Yes I would think staying logged in would be good. That is my approach to Facebook, Twitter as well as TenForums, The Newspaper and my mail.

 

I have CC Cleaner set to save cookies for sites like this one, Facebook, Amazon.com, etc. so it doesn't clear the history or cookies for listed sites, but I'm sure you're aware of this. So I'll stay logged into FB and keep using CC Cleaner. I just hope this thing doesn't pop up again, but if it does I can always rely on you for good advice. Thanks as always and you'll probably be hearing me back here whining about one thing or another.
