Windows 10: Error number 0x80040707 when trying to install audio drivers

My motherboard has a VIA audio chip and so I downloaded the Driver for it.I installed it and there was an audio deck and all, it worked fine. My Microphone wouldn't work and I though it was a driver issue and tried to uninstall the driversin the device manager and reinstall Realtek drivers.The Realtek drivers wouldn't get installed and the VIA ones would still be there after restarting the PC.This happened twice,so I got frustrated and when gung-ho.I when into C drive and deleted all files I could find with via.I deleted the file with application the VdeckThe device manager platform.Then I found the via platform in the control panel,I cursed myself and deleted it but it would show the same error

0x80040707. So I used an uninstaller software to do it,it warned that there would be leftover.I gave up on realtek and wanted my old drivers,but I deleted the audio manager without which I cannot us my headsets onlyaudio plays on both headsets and speakers.I downloaded the same Via file to install.I first got rid of the old via through the sound section in dev manager. This is where the problem starts when I install the driver it goes fine till "preparing to install",then it stops and I get the 0x80040707 error.I click "OK" then an "error 1628 can't install" comes up.I sighed and googled the issue.Went to regedit deleted all the keys on via and platform I could find.I also tried everything like disabling anti-virus,UAC,compatibilty etc at least everything online related to error 0x80040707. BUT IT WON'T WORK. So it goes till "preparing to install" I have the original install shield tab and one more opens with two sub tabs one is the error0x80040707 and the other is empty but named

"InstallShield-Platform".

Please help me,I've tried for two days.

So to your question, it seems (I googled windows error code 0x80040707) that you have general install/upgrade problem and there were good links with suggestions what you could try, here's just the first link for reference:

so I will not copy paste any solution suggestions here, it can be so that some tricks that work for one situation do not help you, so it is better to read the links first.

Error Number 0x80040707

Maybe someone can help me on here!

I'm trying to de install my Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver software version 1.00.137.2 that I had for my 6630 so I can install all the software for my new N70.

I keep getting the following error code box 0x80040707 , when I click ok it then says access is denied!

I have re booted in safe mode to try and de install that way, no luck, even tried exploring :C drive and deleting that way, still wont let me, can anyone help so I can sync my new N70 with my comp?

Internal Failure. Error number 0X80040707

I can't believe the stress this is causing me. Firstly, I can't even establish a connection with my phone and PC using PC Suite and now I tried to reinstall the PC suite, when it copies and installs the files midway through its saying:

Internal Failure. Error number 0X80040707

then it asks me to say "ok" which I press and it installs as normal but what is all this?

You dotn expect Nokia to come up with this with new stuff.
