    This device cannot use a Trusted Platform Module. Your administrator must "Allow BitLocker with out a compatible TPM" option in the "Require additional authentication at start-up" policy for OS volumes.

    How do I go about doing this?

    Bitlocker and Trusted Platform Module problems

    We appreciate the screenshot you sent.

    This issue usually occurs because the Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
    uses the manufacturer driver and not the Windows built-in Trusted Platform Module driver.

    To resolve this, you can manually uninstall and reinstall Trusted Platform Module. To do so, see the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager on the device on which you are experiencing the issue
    • Uninstall the Trusted Platform Module driver.

    Give us an update after following the troubleshooting steps provided.

    Hi I have just upgraded to windows 10 pro on my acer aspire es5715428 laptop, however when I go to turn on bitlocker it reads this message:

    "this device cannot use a trusted platform module your administrator must set the alow bitlocker without a compatible tom option in the require additional authenticaton at start up policy for OS volumes.

    Please help.
