Windows 10: Error trying to update Windows

I am trying to update my windows to the current version but am getting error: error code 0xc1900107 when updating. I have been attempting to repair/reinstall Windows 10 for sometime now and thought the reason for these errors would be due to the fact that the version isn't current.

Included is an attachment of the windows Diagnostic Report.

Even though I have an external device with more than 40 Gb capacity and the assistant recognizes it, it still keeps asking me to free 5 more Gb from the (unit C.

I have 3'62 Gb free memory in (Unit C. It asks me to free 5'63 Gb more. That'll make a total of 9'25 GB. The assistant needs 9'80 GB free memory to update windows 10 without any external device. Does this mean that my external device will only be used
for 0'55 GB? Please I don't understant anything. I just want my laptop to work. I'd stay with my actual version but it keeps showing me ads, interrupting my work and deleting random stuff because of uninterruptible random updates. It has already freed 3 GB
and I dont even know where from.

error 80072ee7 on my lumia 720 while trying to update.

I have the same problem.

Resetting and restoring factory settings are not working.

Microsoft account show no errors (in settings) and syncing without problems.

I can send and receive emails, but not update the phone.

Do not know if it the part of the same problem, but I cant open youtube.com nor live.com web pages. Others seems to work.

I can download apps from the store and update them, it was not working before reset to factory settings.

How to solve the update problem?

If that doesn't help, then:

How are you attempting the update/upgrade?
What is your current Windows version?
(Windows key + R, winver)

You say you have been attempting to repair your Windows- are there other problems besides Windows update failing?

So after reading through the reply comments of the MS community error post, I found that by renaming my $windows.~bt folder and reattempting the update I was successful.

I am now running 1703 (OS build 15063.332)

I was attempting to repair corrupt windows files that I believe were causing windows.exe to occassionally become unresponsive. I tried repairing first via the repair tool but that failed. Then I tried to do a "wipe everything" install via: USB and ISO and that also failed.

However, as it now updates I believe we can close this?

Glad it succeeded - it often puzzles me that we have to rely on accumulated wisdom rather than precise helpful error messages from the OS.
