ERROR - URL may be mispelled - page you requested cannot be found

Hi, I originally posted this call for help on "Google Chrome Forum" however a) I never received a response and b) more importantly I now believe it is not a "Chrome" issue anyway.

I am getting a pop-up type notification appearing down near the righthand corner of the taskbar. The notification reads - We are sorry the page you requested cannot be found. The URL may be mispelled or the page you're looking for is no longer available. The notification also features this small image (actual size) -
ERROR - URL may be mispelled - page you requested cannot be found [IMG]

The problem is I am not searching for any URL, and the notification gives no clue what URL it is searching for? I am unable to do anything with this notification except move it around the screen or close it (e.g. nothing is clickable).
It seems to appear at random once a day and when I select "close" it disappears. I am unable to determine what is triggering this - often no applications are running at the time and after simply clicking "close" on it it simply dissappears with no detrimental results.
Windows updates are all up to speed, Chrome Cookies etc all deleted, antivirus all up to date etc.
    Any clues appreciated.
    Thank you.

    :)

    Reviews page error

This happens only if you do not let the " auto suggestion search box" appear and hit enter right after finishing typing.

It seems that it is the result of an XML HTTP Request that has/returns status 0, because the page is "reloaded" before the request was able to be processed by the server.

ERROR - URL may be mispelled - page you requested cannot be found

Hi Charlotte, Thanks for your response.
Sorry, my reference to "Google Chrome" may have been misleading. Originally I thought this error was related to my browser because of the error message refering to "missing/mispelled URL" (as mentioned), and hence why I deleted all cookies and posted on the Chrome forum etc.

However I have now established this message appears with nothing open - e.g. just on the Desktop.
The strange part is that my PC runs 24/7, however as mentioned it only ever appears once, seemingly in the middle of the day and on clicking the "close'" option it dissappears until the next day, where upon it reappears at approximately the same time again.
