Windows 10: Error using Windows 10 installation media - Error code: 0xc0000185, Your PC needs to be...

Hi,


I created a bootable dvd using the Windows 10 media creation tool.


I'm trying to repair a failed system reset with the above DVD but when i try to boot from the DVD i get the following error


Recovery


Your PC/Device needs to be repaired


Z required device isn't connected or can't be accessed


Error Code: 0xc0000185


you'll need to use recovery tools. if you don't have any installation media (...), contact your pc administrator




I created the iso 'for this pc' - could that be the issue (as the laptop has multiple drives) - I expected the dvd to allow me to create a fresh install


My 'PC Reset' is stuck at the language selection screen, i select a language, then hit next - this states an update is required as something went wrong, i enter my wifi details - then the pc show 'Just a moment' - it then either restarts back to language selection or the 'Just a moment' screen never moves on (left for over 12hrs)


Any help would be great

Error code: 0xc0000185

Error code 0xc0000185 can be caused by damaged or corrupted startup files or errors on the hard disk. Did the issue happen while updating your Windows 10 device?

Pressing Enter will instruct Windows to automatically fix the boot problem. Should the issue continue, you can use a Windows 10 installation media as stated in your screenshot. You can create one using the
Media Creation Tool installed on a different machine.

BIOS error codes

So I have motherboard with installed small LED screen, which presents BIOS error codes.

Where can I find a list of those errors. And I don't mean beep codes, but the "number" codes.

Ex after installing sound card, the motherboard startup fails with the code 15.
